“The desire of the moth for the star,
of the night for the morrow,
the devotion to something afar,
from the sphere of our sorrow.”
The long petals for my white luna moth are from the Magnolia Stellata. Its flower looks like a star. But it could easily have been called a Moth Magnolia in my mind because its buds looks like fuzzy cocoons… or moth bodies! But I love that is has a name of something moths love. Isn’t that lovely?
And speaking of moths, (well their silk anyway), I found a natural silk ribbon dyer who makes the loveliest colors. Instagram: @silkandwillow Good heavens! They make me want to make flowers or hair bows out of them…or just hang them in my house. Images from Silk and Willow.
