To my absolute delight, my writer friend Joey wrote a lovely bio for me this week…
“Whimsy. Wit. Wonder. Bridget Beth’s art is all these things. She may know all the names for the flora and fauna that grow nearby, and the types of birds to pass her windowsill, but what’s more is that she can capture their enchantment in the imaginative worlds she creates. Her watercolor paintings are an invitation to see magic in hidden places, to delight in the out-of-the-ordinary.
Bridget grew up in a seaside town beside a forest and was influenced by fantastical artists like Arthur Rackham, Pauline Baynes, and Edmund Dulac, as well as her own painter Grandmothers. Today, she can be found at her kitchen counter easel in Edmonds, Washington, inspired by the flowers, birds, and sky outside her window while three mischievous boys play at her feet.”
