Frost

IMG_0255-003Frost, by Bridget Beth

I wanted to paint some frost after listening to my friend Olivia’s song, Ice Flower.  She’s so inspiring and talented! She writes, performs, and records her own songs.  And she sounds like a magical nymph!

And then my friend Ellen B posted some beautiful pictures of the frost at her house. The top photo is what I was trying to paint on the rose leaves.

My mom and dad have gone snow shoeing in hoar frost a couple of times.  It’s one of my goals in life to see it!  Maybe with the northern lights combined? A girl can dream.

  1. Such a pretty painting Bridget. It was a dream of mine to see hoar frost, too. Those eastern Canadian provinces get some real good specimens of it!!

  2. Last night Boise frosted over and it looked like a winter wonderland. While I was driving in the dark this morn’ (3 degrees!), there was a little bit of precipitation and this looked like someone just threw glitter into air. I though, “Bridget would love this”.

  3. KARA!! I would! I would! And you have given me a glimpse of it because I can imagine it in my mind now. I’ve never heard of such a thing! Thank you!

P.S my love language is “this made me think of you” my heart is swelling!
