This weekend we went to Grayland for our annual beach camping trip. As always, it was everything we could dream of and more. The reflective feathers of the sea collected the colors of the world around us like glass. The stars sung to us over the blue green flames of our driftwood fire. Our cheeks brightened by the seaside sun and our hearts soared like the gulls playing in the foam. It was a touch of heaven at the ends of the earth, a green flash at the end of our summer days.
