I chanterelle a soul.

On Sunday Robbie and Serrah had us over for dinner. And (ssssh don’t tell) it was do delicious I recreated my own version of it the next day for guests! I am now a true believer in heirloom tomatoes, wild chanterelles, berry tarts, and lavender in drinks. If I wasn’t already before! 20120820-180357.jpg
This collage is a mixture of both nights. I only wish I’d gotten a picture of Serrah’s work area. Picture jars full of forming crystals, a gem mirror, scads of pretty muted modern art, and different shades of violet yarn. Yep…I should have taken a picture!

Serrah’s award winning (for real) drink:

The Violet Crush

3 slices of cucumber muddled in 2oz lavender syrup, 1oz lime juice, 2oz gin, shaken and poured over ice, topped with tonic to taste.
