Of paper garlands and dewy dresses.

Today I felt like one of the girls in Anne of green gables stringing doilies and fixing my bridesmaid’s dress.  I could not be more excited about this beautiful dress I found to wear to Lucy’s wedding.  She told us to pick our own dresses in a woodland animal color scheme: fawn, soft grey, or cream. I saw this one on mod cloth and absolutely fell in love.  I love that it looks like starry feathers and fawn spots.  Like morning dew in the meadow!  There are a few bits of gold in the wedding party…I won’t divulge any of Lucy’s secrets for her wedding, but my dress matches them! It’s not very obvious, in fact the whole thing is very muted in person.  Just right.  The only thing I didn’t like is that it is a halter top.  WAS a halter top…*BIG SMILE*  So glad I have a sewing machine.  And that the bobbin didn’t start rat nesting until after I was finished with it!

I love how these doily pictures match the dress pictures :)

And here is my doily garland!  I like it, but I think I’m going to cut or fold them in half and string them up again.
