Cloud Dough

I made cloud dough for the boys yesterday.  It could easily entertain these two for hours.  It’s all crumbly like flour and then when you pack it it’s solid.  A bit like SNOW!

It’s 8 cups of flour and 1 cup of oil.  (I only used 1 cup of flour and 1/8 cup of oil, though.) The recipe calls for baby oil, but I used canola because Oliver likes to eat everything.  Especially dough.  (And I let Finn put raisins in it so he felt more like a chef, so that didn’t help with the eating factor.) The picture of Oliver crying is after saying, “No NO, Oliver! Don’t eat it!”  I think he ate about half of it.  The other half ended up on the floor:I saved a deep clean of the kitchen floor for after playing with the cloud dough.  There’s only so much oil cloth can do when playing with something that’s powdery, then packs when you try to get at it!  Next time we’ll be doing this outside :)
