november

I am loving grandpa sweaters and tortoise shell glasses. Owlish cable knits and pheasant colors. Things that evoke feelings of acorns and hot tea and dusty books, a picnic on a blustery highlands day. Yesterday I bought a cheap grey sweater and some darling olive green grandpa buttons to sew on it.

1.I’m contemplating buying these tortoise shell glasses.
2.
Cable knit owls. Aren’t they cu-hoot!? (pattern from ysolda.com)
3.
I also really love these shoes, but am SO over
putting shoes on Oliver. Let those baby feet be free!
4.
buttons I bought off Etsy:

I’ve also really been loving celtic music. I’ve been making a playlist full of Irish and Scottish songs. Some traditional, some movie soundracks, some modern. I also watched the first season of Monarch of the Glen this past weekend and am really really getting in the mood to travel to Scotland! I love curling up with a cup of tea and some Irish fiddle diddy, imagining I’m in the highlands. Beau and I laugh our faces off at Celtic Thunder on PBS, but kinda a little bit sort of love them..ha! Lauren and I is definitely in my playlist. That Keith Harkin is such a cutie. Irish accent, surfer, singer? mmm hmmm.

Here’s a treat for you…Beau especially loves the kilt twirling, and I love the screaming middle aged ladies with glow sticks:
