Loving hibiscus.
I got a hibiscus candle that smells so divine. Do hibiscus actually smell like anything? And I discovered this yummy honeydew hibiscus water at the PCC that is just the right amount of sweetness (with no calories or sugar). The bottle says that there is an old middle eastern proverb that says to fill your belly with melon, is like filling up with light. I love that.Ok..when looking for this picture (of my hawaii trip with Erin) I found this fuzzy snapshot I took of this adorable little boy named Luca. We were kind of obsessed with how cute his family was. And how cute he was. And how cute his hair was. I mean…the picture is fuzzy and you can still tell he’s adorable. I came home and told Beau I wanted to name our next son Luca. He didn’t like it. Maybe if he sees this picture he’ll let me…ha! Probably not.But speaking of Beau and wantsies…the other night he brought home an REI catalog of trips, opened up to a page with kayakers kayaking through Milford Sound in New Zealand and made me drool up until this very moment. Why did he do that to me? Not to mention dangle all the other trips on all the other pages! I know we would love the NZ one, though. Birding, hiking in the rainforest, wineries, and kayaking! We loved our San Juans kayaking trip so much!

Imagine doing all this…

And speaking of catalogues. I got this random bag catalog in the mail and it had all these picnicy scenes showing off the bags. I didn’t actually like any of the bags..but on the first page there was a patio umbrella with a circus point on the top. I want one of those. Where can I get one? We need an umbrella for our deck table anyway, so why not get one with style? (Ooookaaaay…I found some online and they’re about 5 times more expensive than regular ones. that’s why.) Anthropologie’s current catalogue has a circus theme, by the way. I find it kind of intriguingly creepy.

The umbrella looked like this only all white and for a table. I found out this style is called a pagoda umbrella. There are lots of fun hand held ones here.I think I want a yellow patio umbrella. I’ve been in to yellow lately. It’s so summery and fresh! Like lemonade or a banana popsicle. Or like you have a big tropical drink umbrella on your deck. Wouldn’t this be cute with a pot of hibiscus nearby?
