Juice Journal #8
On day 3 of detox
I am now in stage 2 of the juice fast. My hunger is supposed to dissapear. My skin is supposed to get oily from all the expressed rancid oils (which will probably give me some acne, yuck). My body begins turning excess fat into glucose. The digestive system embraces the fast and begins to take a rest, allowing itself to be cleansed, impacted feces on the colon begins to loosen. Last night I bought a Green Protein drink from Trader Joes. It had veg, grasses, seaweed, blue algae, and spirulina which I believe is pond scum. It was actually quite delicious!! Click here to learn about the surprising health benefits of algae.

I also tried pomegranate green tea. But I don’t know that I will be drinking very much caffeine on my fast anymore because without solid food it makes me jittery.

This morning I feel no hunger. I don’t even feel very tired at all, either. I think my body is well on it’s way into stage 2 because I was already a vegan and had been going through the preliminary stages of detox for quite some time. This is just an unmedical guess, though. Maybe once I reach that aha! moment of stage 3 I’ll have more answers. That is if I ever reach that stage. It can take up to 7 days! But if I truly am supposed to have no hunger, I can see myself going that far. The fast is becoming increasingly less difficult for me.

It’s fun cooking meat for Beau because I’m not eating. I think he’s a little worried about me with this whole detox thing, but also likes getting to eat carcass. Poor guy’s conflicted.

  1. this is all wonderfully interesting to me bridget, I haven’t commented much as not much has come to mind while observing through a screen. I have always wondered if this would be great for my thyroid and this fruit feast sounds like the healthest detox I have heard of someone doing. Too bad I’ll be nursing for a year! Please keep us posted-it is oddly exciting!
